Overview

The Vport Portal on Apple Vision Pro is the main hub of the Vport app.

From the Portal, you can:

  • View your wallet balance and top up
  • Access your profile
  • Discover featured events via banners
  • Browse multiple carousels including:
    • Free sets
    • Artist sets
    • Past events
    • Upcoming events
    • Most popular artists
    • Top events (3-event list)
    • Keep Watching
  • Preview pricing or “free” labels just by looking at cards

The Portal is your starting point every time you open Vport on VisionOS.

Purpose (User Value)

The Portal is designed to:

  • Give you one central location to discover all content
  • Make it easy to find free and paid events
  • Help you return to unfinished content with Keep Watching
  • Allow very fast access to wallet and profile tools
  • Show pricing at a glance (“$0.03/min” or “free”) using gaze-hover
  • Help you explore Vport without needing to guess where things live

When in doubt about where to go, the Portal is home base.

How to Use (Step-by-step Guide)

3.1 Opening the Portal​

  1. Put on your Apple Vision Pro and open Vport.
  2. If you’re somewhere else (Search, Profile, etc.), look at the left side panel.
  3. Gaze at the Portal icon or entry.

  1. Pinch to return to the main Portal view.

3.2 Using the Top Menu (Wallet & Profile)​

At the top of the Portal you’ll see:

  • Wallet / Balance
  • Profile

Wallet​

  1. Look at the wallet/balance icon.
  2. Pinch to open the Credit & Billing Hub, where you can:
    • View balance
    • Add funds
    • Apply voucher codes
    • View purchase and usage history

Profile​

  1. Look at the Profile icon.
  2. Pinch to open your Profile page.

3.3 Interacting with the Main Banners​

Below the top menu, you’ll see large featured banners for:

  • Highlighted events
  • Special shows
  • Curated experiences

  1. Look at a banner.
  2. Pinch to open the event detail page.

From there you can learn more or start watching.

3.4 Browsing the Carousels (Top to Bottom)​

As you scroll downward, you’ll see these carousels:

  1. Free For You
  2. Artist Sets
  3. Past Events
  4. Upcoming Event Banners
  5. Most Popular Artists
  6. Top Events (3-event list)
  7. Keep Watching

Each carousel is interactive using gaze + pinch.

3.4.0 Previewing Pricing / “Free” with Gaze Highlight​

To preview pricing:

  1. Look at a card for ~1 second.
  2. The card highlights.
  3. A label appears:

Examples:

  • “Experience it for $0.03/min”
  • “Experience it for free”

3.4.1 Free For You​

Shows content you can watch for free.
Gaze-hover reveals “Experience it for free”.

3.4.2 Artist Sets​

Displays individual artist performances.
Gaze-hover shows pricing such as “$0.03/min”.

Shows replays/on-demand events.
Gaze-hover reveals pricing or free status.

3.4.4 Upcoming Event Banners​

Highlighted future shows.
Some may show price or access type depending on UI version.

A compact list of top-performing shows.
Gaze-hover shows pricing/free labels where applicable.

Shows partially-watched events.
Pinch to resume.
Gaze-hover can show pricing as well.

3.5 Navigating Carousels with the Bottom Panel​

At the bottom of the Portal is a navigation panel that jumps you directly to a carousel.

To use it:

  1. Look at the bottom panel.
  2. Gaze at the section name (e.g., “Free For You”, “Past Events”, “Keep Watching”).
  3. Pinch to select.

The view scrolls automatically to the selected carousel.

3.6 Using the Left Side Panel (Global Navigation)​

The left side panel is available across almost the whole app.

You can jump to:

  • Portal
  • Search
  • Profile
  • Wallet

To use it:

  1. Look at the left panel.
  2. Gaze at an icon (Portal / Search / Profile / Wallet).
  3. Pinch to switch.

This helps you quickly return to the Portal after exploring other sections.

Persistent global navigation lets you switch sections instantly.

Common Issues & Troubleshooting

Issue 1: Pricing Label Doesn’t Appear​

Causes:

  • Gaze not held long enough
  • Not centered on the card
  • Card type doesn’t support pricing

Try:

  • Hold gaze for ~1 second
  • Ensure the card highlights visually
  • Try another carousel (Artist Sets or Past Events)

Causes:

  • No content available for that section
  • Haven’t watched anything yet
  • Loading issue

Try:

  • Confirm correct account
  • Watch something briefly to populate Keep Watching
  • Restart the app or check connection

Issue 3: Bottom Panel Doesn’t Move to the Right Section​

Causes:

  • Gaze not centered
  • UI desync

Try:

  • Look directly at the label before pinching
  • Try a slower or longer pinch
  • Restart the app if the panel feels unresponsive

Issue 4: Main Banners Won’t Open​

Causes:

  • Gaze not locked onto the banner
  • Network loading delay
  • Event may no longer be available

Try:

  • Ensure highlight appears
  • Wait a moment after selecting
  • Try accessing the event from Search or another carousel

Issue 5: Wallet or Profile Not Opening from Top Menu​

Causes:

  • Navigation hiccup
  • Logged-out state

Try:

  • Open Wallet/Profile via the left side panel
  • Confirm you're logged in
  • Restart the app if needed

Issue 6: Feeling Lost / Don’t Know Where You Are​

Use the left side panel:

  • Select Portal to reset to home
  • From there use:
    • Top menu (Wallet/Profile)
    • Carousels
    • Bottom navigation
    • Gaze-hover pricing preview

The Portal is always the anchor.
