What permissions do I need before publishing?
Check the rights for the content you plan to record and distribute before making it available. Your applicable Creator Agreement and the current VPORT Terms govern your obligations. An upload option, a successful upload, or a moderation decision does not grant music or other rights.
Does buying a track or having a music subscription give me permission?
Do not treat a track purchase or a listening subscription as permission to include that music in a concert video, DJ set, live broadcast, or replay. Check permissions for the composition, any existing recording, the performers, and the planned distribution. A venue's permission to film or play music does not answer every clearance question.
For a cover, remix, or sample, check the rights in the material used as well as the new performance or recording. A performer's consent may not cover a publisher's, label's, co-writer's, or other participant's rights.
Does permission for a live event also cover a replay or promotion?
Confirm each intended use: live transmission, on-demand replay, edited video, trailer, still image, and promotional clip. Check the territory, release period, and any conditions in the permission. Do not assume that permission for one use includes the others.
Promoting an event or creator content does not establish a third party's endorsement. Before using a person's name, likeness, music, or brand in promotion, confirm that the intended use is authorized. Do not present an artist, venue, sponsor, or rights holder as endorsing VPORT or another product without that authorization.
The music-rights clearance guide provides an educational checklist for collecting permissions. It does not determine clearance for your specific content.
What if a permission is missing or someone disputes it?
Keep the affected release on hold while you resolve the question with the relevant rights holder or a qualified adviser. Contact VPORT Support, or email support@thevport.com, with the event or content URL, the planned use, and a brief explanation. Support can route a question; a support conversation is not permission to publish.
For a copyright infringement notice or counter-notification, follow the current VPORT DMCA Policy. Use that policy's designated process and required information rather than treating an ordinary technical-support message as a formal notice.
Keep rights records and original footage available. Share only the information needed for the request; do not include account passwords, payment credentials, or unrelated private agreements.
