Media Uploads

Images and media assets play a central role in presenting your events, artists, and venues on VPORT. This guide covers how uploads work throughout the Creator Studio.

Videos in the Creator Studio are not uploaded as standalone files. They are created as part of the event creation and event instance workflow. When you set up an event and its instances, video content is associated with the stream configuration for each instance. There is no separate video upload page -- the My Videos section simply reflects videos that were added through event creation.

Image Uploads

The Creator Studio supports two upload modes depending on where you are in the platform:

  • Single Upload -- Used for individual images such as thumbnails, avatars, and banners. Click the upload area or drag a file into it to begin. This mode is used when setting event thumbnails, event banners, artist avatars, artist banners, and venue banners.
  • Gallery Upload -- Used for multi-image collections on artist profiles and venue pages. You can select multiple files at once or add them one at a time. Gallery images can be reordered by dragging them into your preferred sequence.

Drag and Drop

All upload fields in the Creator Studio accept drag-and-drop. Drag an image file from your file manager and drop it onto the designated upload zone. The file will be processed automatically. This works for single image fields (thumbnails, avatars, banners) as well as gallery upload areas on artist and venue pages.

Image Cropping

After uploading an image, you may be presented with a built-in cropping tool. This lets you adjust the visible area of the image to fit the required dimensions -- for example, cropping a banner to a wide aspect ratio or trimming an avatar to a square frame. Use the cropping handles to frame the portion of the image you want to keep, then confirm to apply the crop.

Tips

Follow these guidelines for the best results when uploading images:

  • Supported Formats -- The Creator Studio accepts JPEG, PNG, and WebP image formats. JPEG works best for photographs, PNG is ideal for images with transparency or sharp graphics, and WebP offers strong compression with high quality.
  • Recommended Resolution -- Upload images at a minimum of 1200 pixels wide for banners and 600 pixels wide for thumbnails and avatars. Higher resolution source files produce sharper results after processing.
  • Aspect Ratio -- Match the expected aspect ratio before uploading to minimize cropping. Banners are typically wide (16:9 or similar), while avatars are square (1:1).
  • File Size -- Keep source files under 10 MB for the smoothest upload experience. Larger files will still work but may take longer to process.
  • Consistency -- Use a consistent visual style across your event thumbnails, artist avatars, and venue photos to build a recognizable brand identity on the platform.
