Summer Without a Wristband: Experiencing 2026's Festival Season in 360

It is July, which means somewhere in a field outside Boom, Belgium, the wristbands are already gone. They sold out in an hour. The flights sold out slower, but they sold out too. And for every person standing in front of a mainstage this summer, there are thousands more at home, refreshing a livestream, watching a festival happen to other people through a flat rectangle on a laptop.

That gap, between the field and the couch, is the story of every summer. The biggest electronic festivals on the planet run June through September. Most fans will never stand in front of those stages. Not because they do not want to, but because a ticket, a flight, and a hotel add up to a month of rent. This is the summer the rest of us stopped settling for shaky phone clips filmed from the parking lot.

We built VPORT because there had to be a better answer than the livestream. Spatial video on Apple Vision Pro is closing the distance between the flat replay and the lived moment. Not all the way. Not yet. But far enough that the question stops being "should I watch from home" and becomes "how should I watch from home." That is a better question, and it finally has real answers.
